Margie Carbonell Smith worked in the “no sales commission” side of financial services at a prominent Portland firm for more than fourteen years before starting Rosewood Consulting, LLC.  When Margie decided on a career in the field of financial advising, she was drawn to the “fee-only” side of the business.  

Dedicated to helping clients achieve their personal financial goals, Margie’s greatest skills are listening and motivating.  Discover how you can use your financial resources with deliberate purpose and intent.

A graduate of Ohio University, with honors, with a Bachelor of Science in Communications, Margie worked in the television and video production industry as her first career. She completed the CFP® Professional Education Program Certificate through the College for Financial Planning.  After fulfilling the required work experience, and passing the rigorous CFP® Board examination, she became a Certified Financial PlannerTM Professional in January, 2005.
